Hi Kids Club! Gus the Theatre Cat here, and I’ve got some roaringly exciting news about our next big adventure!

 I am absolutely delighted to share that IMAGINE AFRICA: Our Stories Brought to Life is coming to the stage at Peoples Theatre very soon! We are getting ready to celebrate Heritage Month with an unforgettable journey across the continent, with performances running from 15 September to 4 October 2026!

 This extraordinary brand-new production features vibrant, timeless tales created by world-renowned author and legendary storyteller Dr. Gcina Mhlophe. We’ve crafted this show specially with our young theatre-goers in mind, filling the stage with vibrant costumes, clever props, dynamic music, and pure theatrical joy that will have everyone singing along. 

The magic begins as an exceptional cast guides us into a world of rhythm, wonder, and incredible African wildlife. Audiences will be treated to beloved classics like Golden Windows, How the Lion Got His Roar, and Horns Only. Best of all, THIS IS INTERACTIVE THEATRE AT ITS FINEST! You won’t just be watching from your seats, our young audience members will get the chance to step directly into the stories, helping the characters solve problems, navigate challenges, and discover that even the smallest heroes can make a massive impact.

I truly can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces in the audience as we bring these wonderful African stories to life. Let’s make this trip into the heart of storytelling a memory that we’ll all treasure for years to come!

HOW TO BOOK IF YOU ARE ALREADY A KIDS CLUB MEMBER

1. Search on Webtickets.co.za for the show title (IMagine Africa) to see what show times and dates we have available for this show
2. Find out how many friends and family members want to come with you
3. Call or email Peoples Theatre with your Kids Club membership number/ numbers ready
4. Give us 24 hours max to prepare your invoice
5. Make payment and send us your POP
6. Once we have confirmed that we have received your POP you can sit back and prepare for a puuuuuuurfect Peoples Theatre experience!!

Accompanying a member: R155

KIDS CLUB DAYS

The actors will come out and meet you after the show and sign your programmes on Kids Club Days. If you can’t make it on these days, don’t worry because you still get your Kids Club discount at any performance.
