Hi Kids Club! Gus the Theatre Cat here, and I’ve got some "ogre-sized" news to kick off our year with a bang!

I am so excited to announce that our favourite green hero is stomping back onto the stage at Peoples Theatre. Get ready to journey to the swamp from 10 March – 19 April!

This rendition of Shrek The Musical JR. has been thoughtfully adapted especially for our younger audiences. We have worked hard to ensure that the noble character of Shrek is portrayed in a lovable and fun-filled way that makes him completely engaging and captivating for children. By utilizing the unique magic of live theatre—filled to the brim with show-stopping musical numbers and plenty of laughter—this production is designed to leave a lasting, happy impression on audiences of all ages.

Beyond the swamp and the jokes, the story carries deep themes of building self-esteem and the importance of being true to yourself. It focuses on the beauty of pursuing authentic relationships with others and with nature, reminding us all to never judge anyone by what we first see.

HOW TO BOOK IF YOU ARE ALREADY A KIDS CLUB MEMBER

1. Search on Webtickets.co.za for the show title (Shrek) to see what show times and dates we have available for this show
2. Find out how many friends and family members want to come with you
3. Call or email Peoples Theatre with your Kids Club membership number/ numbers ready
4. Give us 24 hours max to prepare your invoice
5. Make payment and send us your POP
6. Once we have confirmed that we have received your POP you can sit back and prepare for a puuuuuuurfect Peoples Theatre experience!!

Members: R145
Membership: R155 per year
Public: R180
Accompanying a member: R155

The actors will come out and meet you after the show and sign your programmes on Kids Club Days. If you can’t make it on these days, don’t worry because you still get your Kids Club discount at any performance.
